To be eligible to sit for the HIMAA Clinical Coder Certification (CCC) examination candidates must hold a HIMAA Certificate of Achievement for Advanced ICD-10-AM, ACHI and ACS clinical coding.
The examination is a two-hour paper consisting of six handwritten medical records and examinations are scheduled for the first Monday in February, June and November each year.
